Diane Nettifee | Deborah Lowrey Asberry | David Specht

Deborah Lowrey Asberry offers a wealth of experience in leadership roles for nonprofit and health care organizations. Her work for Magis ventures draws on her training in organizational development theory and practice, as well as her experience in systems theory, organizational psychology, business management and human development.

Prior to joining Magis, Mrs. Asberry worked as an human resource consultant for a national nonprofit Catholic health care system, where she led an effort to develop a groundbreaking collaboration between her organization and a community hospital. She also worked on programs to improve staff morale, explore spirituality in the workplace, and develop a balanced scorecard tool to create measurable indicators of accountability to the budget, corporate strategic plan and mission of the organization.

She began her career teaching children, both hearing and deaf, who exhibited behaviors of emotional disturbance. In partnership with a group of child psychiatrists and Washington Township Metropolitan School District of Indianapolis, she designed and implemented a therapeutic educational program that supported the educational and emotional needs of children unable to function in a public school setting.

Ms. Asberry is certified as an executive coach with the Center for Archetypal Studies and Applications (CASA). Additionally, she is certified consultant and coach for The Leadership Circle, a consulting firm that developed a breakthrough 360-degree profile.

She is a consultant, teacher, writer and poet. She serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Indianapolis. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., and a master’s degree from Butler University in Indianapolis. She resides in Indianapolis with her husband and two sons.
